So we didn't do too well in the tournament today, but we didn't do as badly as expected considering what short notice we had. Ah well, if it's over let it go, come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday. Haha, that song's still stuck in my head. Imran was walking around with a towel underneath his hat when Mr. T piped up "hey, sheik!" he really did look something like a shiek I suppose. There were some minor mishaps today, but it's all good I think; Elaine, you got the Tennis festival in June so whatever... you'll rock the tournament then alright? Most of the team'll get to go to the Tennis festival in June... most of us are senior players I think.

&#*^$%!!!!!!!!! Stupid computer froze and now I have to retype my entry. Dang it! I get extremely annoyed at posting twice. Pah, anyways. The weather started off well, sunny and all, only to overcast in the afternoon during the barbecue. Oh well, that's life I guess. At least it was good weather during the last minute tennis practice in the morning. Pah, we're going to get massacred tomorrow. Yes I try to be optimistic, but it's stupidity more than optimism not to recognize how ill prepared you are for a York Region tournament.

Well, the week's been somewhat uneventful. Tennis tournament on Monday, even though most of the team's only had one practice... and at the practice, I think Mr. T got scared might prettily about the skill level. Ah well, he said that now that we know the tournament's ealry in the year, we'll start training earlier next year. I pray to god that it doesn't rain tomorrow. I could use the extra practice at Highgate.

"There's gotta be more to life...
Than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me
Cause the more that I'm...
Tripping out thinking there must be more to life
Well it's life, but I'm sure... there's gotta be more
Than wanting more"

I think we need another temporary blackout, just to spice things up a big. Call me sadistic, but I still thought it was fun. So far, I'm just living life as it comes, trying to keep up with sports teams and homework at the same time. Speaking of sports... the tennis tournament is on the 29th and we haven't had a single practice yet. Some of our team members don't even know how to play!!!! And Mr. T's sending us into the York Region District tournament. Great isn't it. And what's this I hear about people not showing up to a Saturday morning practice. It's at 9 o'clock on a Saturday, you'd think they'd want to get up a bit earlier to exercise for a tournament in just a little more than a week.

-- Inspector Egan
I'm completely and utterly exhausted for unknown reasons. Like every fibrous pore in my body's crying out in agony. It might have been the 2 and a half hour vball practice I had earlier in the day. Hrmph, besides sports teams, life's been a little slow of late. I need to go out and do something instead of sitting at home all day doing homework.

"It is white."
-- George W. Bush, when asked what the White house was like by a student in East London
I find myself being infinitely amused by these little annecdotes. Besides, it's the little things in life that keep me satisfied and happy... just like it's the little things in life that bug the heck out of me. Vball practice was good this morning, even though I'm still not sure I like getting up so early for vball. Badminton I'm fine with but I'm extremely lazy for other sports. Ultimate flying discus practice got cancelled today. And what's with this legal issue people always have for calling the flying discus a phryz-bee. Like I can get sued for using that word or something.

Grr, I don't like being sick. All my body functions either slow down or shut down. Oh well, it's flu season... part of life so pah. I should eat more watermelons during flu season. They boost your immune system. Well, the Harvest Moon festival has just passed, and indeed, my family did little to celebrate. My brother and I aren't really keen on Mooncake and since we don't harvest anymore, that's really all there is to do besides romp around the neighborhood nude with laterns... and people already did that during the blackout.

"Boneless bananas." Now there's an ad I'd like to see.
Temp has gotten a new blog so check it out. If you can't find it, use your eyes. If you still can't find it ask someone else. Anyhow, life is good and I try not to bore people who read this blog with a constant flow to incoherent things that aren't relevant to my life.

Overall it's been a pretty successful week, despite the homework load that suddenly seemed to triple from grade 10. Well, TCMS atheletics are going SSAF like every year, and also York Region. Now THAT'S some competition. Not only for my main sport, badminton, but all the other ones including volleyball and tennis and the like... even though TCMS never had tennis cause there's no SSAF for it. I've forgotten how to play that sport. Used to play it before I started playing badminton.

“Some things are worth believing in even though we find no reason to.”

Well, the first days of school's been fairly successful in my opinion. I was going to post this yesterday but blogger of course, picked yesterday to be conviniently broken at various parts of the evening so pah. Teachers are great, courses are pretty good. So I have no complaints... or less complaints than normally befits me for the first day of school. The bottom of my locker's sunken into the ground leaving this giant depression at the bottom. Whoever the idiot was who had my locker last year must have had one godawfully heavy bag. It's getting increasingly difficult to set up a locker shelf if you don't have a flat bottom to set it up on. Grr...
